Just Be ...

Just Be ...

When your stressed, worried about money - Just Be
When you can't sleep worrying about what could be - Just Be
When you're feeling guilty - Just Be
When you're feeling flat - Just Be
When you can't relax - Just Be

Just Be means taking a few breaths and connecting yourself with right now.
It's not a tool, it's not a strategy, it's not something to try when things go wrong.
Just Be connects you with now.
Being stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless are sure signs you are not connected with now.
It's an easy lesson but can be hard to grasp at first.
It's based on the statement that you cannot have anything other than right now.
There is no 5 minutes ago or 5 minutes time, there is only now.

By basing yourself in now you get a clearer perspective on what you need to do now.
Being stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless will not give you a good perspective on what you need to do now.
Being stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless will only lead to more being stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless.
So when your being stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless - first of all stop.
Then just breathe and while you're breathing focus on your breathing - the breath going in and the breath going out.
Listen to the mindless chatter in your head, the being stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless.
Take a few more breaths. Keep doing this until you feel a little disconnected from the being stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless. The being stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless will put up a fight though as it needs to be stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless.

Just keep breathing, notice your breaths, notice the mind chatter. Keep doing it. Do it until you feel some sense, even a very small sense of calm. It can take a lot of practise to get to this. And that's only a glimpse of what could be. The more you can trust this process, the less being stressed, worried, guilty, flat or restless will impact on you. The less it impacts on you the better place you'll be in to know what to do. Right here, right now, in the present moment. It is after all, all we have. Right here, right now.
